Release Day: Some Like it Hot!

“In the latest toothsome addition to her Rising Star Chef series, Edwards delivers an emotionally engaging love story, expertly spiced with love scenes hot enough to caramelize crème brûlée. As the icing on this literary cake, the mouthwatering descriptions of the dishes prepared and realistically rendered kitchen scenes prove Edwards is as gifted at writing about food as about romance.” --Booklist on Some Like it Hot

And now it's finally here! Happy book birthday to Danny and Eva, the hero and heroine of Some Like it Hot. I can't wait for all of you to read their story and follow along with their kitchen exploits in the second installment of my Rising Star Chef trilogy.

Some Like it Hot is my scorching follow-up to last August’s Too Hot to Touch…and my first ever pastry chef hero! Danny Lunden stole scenes (and readers’ hearts!) when he first appeared, and I’m thrilled to share his story of love, family, and fabulous confections with all of you. Especially since reviewers are already licking their lips over it! RT BookReviews gave SLiH four and a half stars, saying “Edwards gives readers exactly what they’re looking for: a great storyline and wonderful characters, some of them loveable, some of them smoking hot.” Rowr!

Want to hear about the story? Well, as RT puts it, Danny Lunden is a take-care kind of guy and he will go to the wall for those he loves. Competing in the Rising Star Chef Competition is a great way to get publicity for his family restaurant, and focus all his attention on the job he loves best. Eva Jansen has taken over running the competition from her father and she is determined to do it right. Danny intrigues her; he’s kind, caring and not impressed by her or her money, and when they get together, sparks fly. But with the competition beginning to spiral out of control and her father breathing down her neck, Eva has no time for a relationship and Danny agrees. Still, they are drawn together, until Eva’s bid to keep the contest dramatic threatens to destroy their fragile trust.”

Some Like it Hot is available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Books-A-Million, and indie bookstores near you!

Release Week Continues

Wow, what a day I had yesterday! So much good stuff happened, it's hard to remember it all. Too Hot to Touch was mentioned by one of my all-time favorite romance authors, Eloisa James, in her monthly romance newsletter for B&N...my parents took me out for lunch at a cool new Mexican place and I had sangria in the middle of the day...an awesome blogger and avid romance reader, Marisa O'Neill, did a fabulous, insightful analysis of all my heroes on Heroes & Heartbreakers.com...I had about 40 amazing readers and author friends show up at my live chat last night...my fabulous husband brought me pink champagne and cupcakes to celebrate...and today, the San Angelo Standard-Times published a very cool article highlighting my books and sharing a couple of recipes! Oh, and I got my giant box of author copies of Too Hot to Touch.

But the very best thing about yesterday was all the readers who emailed, Facebooked, or Tweeted me that they were already devouring Too Hot to Touch. Y'all are incredible (and very fast readers, wow)--the wind beneath my wings, seriously! You are why I write, and nothing makes me happier than hearing from you.

THANK YOU for making my day.

As for today, I'm the Spotlight Author over at Fresh Fiction, and am also their guest blogger. Leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a signed copy of Too Hot to Touch and a set of my Rising Star Chef romance trading cards!

ON THE STEAMY SIDE Hits Bookstores!

Happy Release Day to me! My jaded celebrity chef and sassy Southern nanny are hereby unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. If you haven't pre-ordered your copy of On the Steamy Side, today you can run right out and buy it the old-fashioned way, in an actual bookstore. Fun! I can't wait to hear what you all think.

Reviews are already rolling in. My favorite for today? This one from Mom's Favorite Stuff. I got tingles reading it! The best bit is where she calls OtSS a "‘can’t-put-down-I’ll-read-while-I-cook-brush-my-teeth-and-fold-clothes’ kind of book." I admit, I flailed and squealed a little when I read that. I'm so excited about this book!

Bunco Babes Gone Wild!

A brand new book in Maria Geraci's hilarious, heart-warming series about the Bunco Babes of Whispering Bay, Florida is out today! You guys should be super excited, because I was lucky enough to get to read an early, pre-pub copy of this one, and it is to die for. Like a classic movie, this book brings out the full range of emotions: laughter, sympathy, tears, and oh-my-dear-sweet-hotness romance! The hero is so memorable, I've had dreams about him. Seriously, you must run right out and buy it. Delicious! Here's the blurb:

BUNCO BABES GONE WILD by Maria Geraci

Georgia Meyer needs some time to think—and what better place to get her head on straight than Whispering Bay, Florida, in the company of her sister Frida and her sister’s Bunco friends, better known as the Bunco Babes? Georgia’s boyfriend—and boss—Spencer Moody made a slight miscalculation in the romance department and gave her a calculator instead of an engagement ring. So she needs some sisterly advice, in between rolling dice and drinking frozen margaritas, as to her next move.

While considering subtracting Spencer, Georgia meets the very handsome Dave Hernandez. Unfortunately when a Bunco night gets a little out of hand, Georgia reveals more of herself to Dave than she intended. Now, as she helps the Babes prepare for a Bunco Black Tie fundraiser, she needs to search her heart—and keep her shirt on—long enough to decide if a love affair with Dave might be a dream come true or just a flash in the pan.

It's a big week for new releases! Jennifer Haymore's debut historical is out, and if you're an ebook reader, they're running a special $1.99 price on it at Amazon and Fictionwise (and with Fictionwise, you actually get an even lower price after the rebate.) It's a fabulous way to check out a new author; I definitely took advantage of it, myself!
